My Story
Adrian Elliott has dedicated over 15 years to enriching her community through the arts, education, and entertainment. Her work with Gallery 66 and the City of New Britain has led to the creation of numerous programs and events that have supported local artists and benefited the community. As a member of the New Britain Commission on the Arts and the Advisory Board of the New Britain Museum of American Art, she has further promoted local artists and organized engaging art events.
In addition to her focus on the arts, Adrian has committed 15 years to working with non-profits like the Queen Anne Nzinga Center, OIC, The Friendship Center, and the New Britain Museum of American Art. Currently, she serves as a para-educator with the KEY Program in the New Britain Consolidated School District, where she supports students with autism.
Adrian has also broadened the scope of local arts initiatives by integrating musical performances and poetry into various events, including establishing a regular open mic at Gallery 66 and founding the City of New Britain’s first poet laureate program. Her efforts have earned praise from local leaders, including Gerry Amodio, former executive director of the New Britain Downtown District, and New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart.
